Patch, resurface or replace: what settles it on your drive
A flaking surface and a failing slab look alike from the street. Walk the drive and note three things: where stones show, which cracks run edge to edge, and where water sits after rain. Take photos in daylight and send them with your request.
Ready to ask about your slab?
When scaling has loosened the top layer, that layer has to be removed before anything new goes on, so ask for that step by name in the quote. A patch will look different from the old slab, so decide now whether that matters at the front of the house. Heavy, spreading scaling may not be repairable at all, and a contractor who says so is giving you useful news.
Ask the quote to say which panels come out, which stay and where new joints go. A line that reads only repair driveway cannot be compared with the next quote you receive.
